The Dufresne sector offers 3 orienteering courses of varying levels of difficulty. You can try them out on your own or with your family, at your own pace and in complete autonomy.
Orienteering stimulates both the head and the legs! It’s a sport that involves finding your own way, with the help of a map, between control points (beacons), as efficiently as possible. This activity lets you discover the park in a different way, while practicing map reading and improving your orientation skills.
The iOrienteering app lets you time your route, validate your beacons and calculate your accumulated points. Download the instructions and the chosen map onto your smartphone before visiting us, or go to the reception desk at Chalet Anne-Piché to obtain a paper copy. The activity can also be easily completed without a cell phone, using only the paper form and a pencil.
Card: beginner / intermediate / advanced
The activity is free of charge, but you must obtain your park pass or have a valid membership card.
Please note that in the Regional Park, you must stay on the trails at all times, and off-trail navigation between beacons is prohibited.
